The Bill Campbell Cup

Bill Campbell

Bill Campbell played for MOB Lacrosse in our first season, and passed away suddenly playing the game that he loved. He has been missed by us all, and we honour him each year in the MOB Championship.

Wednesday night  Black Storm and Gold Rush will be playing at 9pm at Glen Abbey Arena for the coveted Bill Campbell Cup.

Gold finished 4th in a 4 team league, but have been on a roll of late, with great goaltending from Ron Larose and a balanced group of scorers. Last week they beat first place Red Heat for their birth in the final.

In the meantime Black Storm finished on a bit of a down turn, but managed to eke out a victory over the surging Blue Thunder. Black can be hot and cold.....it should be an interesting final. With Brad Sanderson in goal....if the Black Goal Scorers can't get going Black still has a chance.....because, if you have not read my Story on passitonsports.ca please read it now.

  1. Somehow, despite all the emails I get from you, Mike, I have never seen the story about my dad, "the best goalie ever"! I must say - I agree! Way to go dad.
See you tomorrow at the Campbell cup!
