Mother Nature

She is one powerful lady. Hurricane Irene is creeping up the east coast of the U.S.A. and people are scrambling to prepare for a storm that could wreak havoc for millions of people. More than 65 million people from North Carolina to Maine are in the path of the hurricane, according to data compiled by Bloomberg News. The storm could cause up to $10 billion in overall economic loss, according to estimates by Kinetic Analysis Corp

The sporting world is definitely impacted huge by this storm.

I can only imagine the number of minor league games, tournaments and championships of every sport that must be affected.

Interesting fact - Derek Jeter tied Micky Mantle tonight for most games played in New York Yankee team history (2,401).

Think good thoughts for the weekend. It is going to be tough on the Eastern Seaboard.
