Tomorrow night (Wednesday) is MOB (Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington) Master's Lacrosse Semifinals....and the way the season ended, anybody could take the coveted Campbell Cup!
For those of you that are unaware of the history of the Campbell Cup, it is presented annually to the MOB Lacrosse League Champions. The trophy is in memory of Bill Campbell, who passed away while playing the game he loved.
In Game one at 8pm, it is Red Heat (first overall) against Gold Rush.
Game two is Blue Thunder against Black Storm at 9pm. This game could actually be billed as the Peter Hodge Transport McMillan Grudge Match - or McMillan vs McMillan (or Don vs Mike)

From there we leave to Lake Placid....first game is against Mr. Boh from Baltimore Maryland. Rumour has it they are a little more prepared than us....they have played approximately 120 total games this year...our Team Ontario has played one game so far. (but it is all about the fun - right?)

Starting on Saturday Aug 6th, the Owen Sound North Star U19 Women begin their provincials.
They have already had a great season. They are in the "C" division, and had their best record ever this year
10 wins - 3 losses. Because of such a great year, they have been bumped up to the "B" Division for provincials....which is another First. Way to go girls!! You have made us all proud.
They play Oshawa at 830am and Mississauga at 4pm.

ReplyDeleteFrom what I have seen I think your Owen Sound Girls could surprise a few teams in the "B" loop. They should make out ok.
