***Note*** - Running Provincials and playing in it to is difficult. Everybody has been doing a great job. Special thanks to Carol Johnston - Keith Kennedy - Cort Sanderson.....and many more. It is a lot of work, so many issues...... - Want some examples??
- we find out Tuesday that the room for our booster club was double booked. Everything had to be changed...the schedule, the rooms, the arenas...everything. It was a pain.
- oh, and since we changed the room, need new liquor licence (Are you kidding me?) It will take 30 days to get another one (but our tourney starts on Friday) - we worked it out.
- Oh and the Insurance has to be changed because you are changing the room.
- no hot water in the showers
- one team came to me and said the fire alarm in their room was hanging out, and buzzing, really annoying
- River Oaks 10 pm game went to overtime. Ended late.....so the arena guy said our contract runs out at midnight, so the 11 pm game will not finish in time....so we have to end it.....he says after midnight, no insurance (this is insane) - we continue the game, at 10 minutes to 12, a guy hits the floor hard, and the EMS is called - Concussion. - I think the game finished (I don't know)
- There is more....but I am tired.
- Host team Oakville got spanked by Brampton (ouch) (10 - 3) (I blame the above - ha)
- Durham beat Toronto (Senior) - 5 - 3 (I am calling the upset of the night)
- In Junior Welland beat Toronto 9 - 8 in a close one.
If you see somebody has a great game, let them know it. We all want to win. Most of us won't. Keep that in mind as you go through the weekend. If you have some stories or pictures to share...put them on passitonsports.ca
Good luck on Saturday Boys. It is Game On (Again)
