A lot of driving around...and a lot of great sights. After a drive up the east side of Owen Sound and taking in some breathtaking views, we stopped when we saw a sign for "Fresh Vegetables" at a little farm called Wolf River Farm, ran by Kathy Hopson. The one fun thing about going local, is they are so friendly...told us what had just been picked....spinach, cucumbers and zucchinis that "when I pick, I put them on a Pillow so not to bruise"...says Kathy.
First we were greeted by Guard Dog "Spark"
Next a little tour in the vegetable garden that was in the old barn foundation.
And lastly, my fresh spinach and bags full of other goodies.

Next we drove down the line into Leith and had a rest a little beach.
....and then a quick search for the elusive small mouth bass....
no luck.
And that was just Saturday...went home, had some fresh veggies...and got ready for Sunday.
We drove straight to Tobermory...looked around town, lunch with friends, and of course a look at the famous Chi Cheeman ferry that runs from Tobermory to Manitoulin Island....if you have not done you must. Put it on your "to do" list
The locals gave us directions to a "private" place to swim....called "Mermaid Cove"....go left, right, left, straight....and it is a short walk?????/
I guess we all have our own version of short walk.
But when we got there....OMG. Unbelievable.
Hard to see, but there is a mermaid in this picture. It was so beautiful, well worth the "short" walk.
We headed home...another great day.
Holiday Monday, cashed in a couple of rain checks at Cobble Beach Golf course....went and did 9 holes. If you have never been, and you like golf.....GO!!!! I am not kidding. Possibly the finest golf course I have ever been too...service...course and views....all 10's!!!
Finished off the day helping with the U19 girls practice. - then home. Whew!
