It is kind of funny actually as we are definitely not playing "field" lacrosse....and not really playing "box" lacrosse....we are playing a mutated mix version of both games. We don't have a coach, but have many guys that know the game. We really don't even use timeouts, when the other team takes a timeout...we usually take a knee, catch our breath and carry on when the whistle blows in play again.
We are having a great time, and enjoying the game...and that is what it is all about.
Goalie Ted Sawicki had another great game, while our long poles, Stu Aird, Bobby Simpson and Jason Donville were solid.
Our midfield did a great job of running the ball, and cutting the middle....while the attack men, did what they do best. They buried the ball. Gary Walker of Brampton got 5, while Pete Follows got 3 and Bobby Wasson 2.....and they were all beautiful goals.
Final score was Team Ontario 13 The Dutchmen 5. Great job by all.
We are set for our final game tomorrow at 10:30, not sure who we are playing just yet.
After the game, had lunch in Placid.....and some of the guys did a little shopping, just to show our sophisticated side.
I will share the results tomorrow.
